In the heart of Peterborough on a chilly January day, the Care Professional Academy brought a warm breeze of innovation to the Peterborough City Care Provider Conference. Undeterred by the cold, the Care Professional Academy team took the opportunity to support and reward Care Professionals working in adult social care by introducing the platform to the dedicated workforce in Peterborough.

The event, aimed at fostering collaboration and innovation within the social care sector, proved to be the perfect platform for the Care Professional Academy to introduce its groundbreaking approach to supporting and rewarding care professionals with the launch of the Peterborough Care Professional Academy.

Care professionals in Peterborough can now use the Academy for free to log training certificates, and qualifications, creating their own unique training passports whilst gaining access to exclusive rewards and discounts. Employers can also utilise the platform to track and monitor staff training and development and incentivise their staff to engage with further training; supporting providers with governance and compliance.

Gill Forward, The Academy Manager said “The City Care Provider Conference was a great success, allowing us to connect with compassionate Care Professionals in Peterborough. We’ve seen an incredible response, with new providers eagerly signing up to utilise the Care Professional Academy locally and on a national level!”

The launch of the Care Professional Academy comes at an important time in the care sector, with councils across the country facing a shortage of care professionals. By launching this initiative, we hope it will also set the stage for a collaborative and empowered community of Care Professionals in Peterborough and beyond!
